Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government is considering launching a surrender policy to rehabilitate Freedom fighters.
This information was given by Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pima Khandu.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that a policy would be launched soon with the aim of rehabilitating the surrendered freedom fighters.
Khandu said that through the surrender policy, the Arunachal Pradesh government would try to rehabilitate the insurgents by supporting them in government flagship programmes.
Notably, a large number of insurgents have surrendered in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tarap, Changlong and Longding districts in recent days.
The Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister also praised the state police for ensuring the surrender of the rebels.
“Whether it is the war on insurgency, crime or drugs, the police force has proved its mettle,” Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said.
