China has officially released the 2023 edition of its “standard map”, which includes disputed areas such as Arunachal Pradesh, Aksai Chin region, Taiwan and the disputed South China Sea.
“The 2023 edition of China’s standard map was officially released on Monday and launched on the website of the Standard Map Service hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources,” the state-run Global Times reported. said in a post on what was previously Twitter.
“This map is compiled based on the national border drawing methods of China and various countries around the world,” the post said.
The map shown by the Global Times also showed Arunachal Pradesh, which China claims was occupied by South Tibet and Aksai Chin in the 1962 war.
India has repeatedly told China that “Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will remain an inalienable and inalienable part of India.” The nine-dash line on the map shows China’s claim to Taiwan and a large part of the South China Sea. was also included.
