In Laitumkhrah assault case Meghalaya police arrested five people

Itanagar: Special Investigation Cell (SIC) of Arunachal Police has arrested two more persons in connection with alleged irregularities in Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) 2017 conducted by APPSC and others.

The arrested persons have been identified as Loter Gadi (31) and Luto Gadi (38).
According to the SIC, Loter is a resident of Itanagar KP sector and is currently posted as a statistical investigator in the Department of Economics and Statistics, Anini, Dibang Valley district.

Lotu, on the other hand, is a junior engineer in the Hydro Power Department (Anini Sub-Division) and hails from Dike village in Leparada district.

SIC (Vigilance) Superintendent of Police Anant Mittal said that both of them have been arrested based on the FIR filed by failed candidates of APPSCCE 2017 exam and others.
“Furthermore, all complaints related to various other examinations conducted by APPSC since 2014 have been merged with the instant case for detailed investigation,” the SP said.
SIC has managed to arrest 39 people in this case so far.

“The SIC investigation in the paper leak case is ongoing and all the facts are being investigated in detail. All legal formalities and professional norms are being maintained during the investigation,” Mittal said, adding that SIC is committed to ensure justice for the victim.
