Dibrugarh: Longding Battalion of Assam Rifles and police on Thursday arrested two NSCN Freedom Fighters of NSCN-U from Dasatong village in Kanubari area of ​​Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.

One of the arrested NSCN Fighters, self-styled APO Jangani Lakham, he was a Rajapio of his faction and was responsible for illegal tax collection, an official said.

The official added that his arrest is a major blow to the faction’s illegal activities in Langding district and a sigh of relief for the Wanchus who are constantly being harassed by the rebel groups with their illegal demands.

The arrested NSCN cadres along with incriminating documents recovered from their possession were handed over to Kanubari Police Station.
