Govt recommends CBI inquiry
Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government has recommended a CBI inquiry into the APPSC AE (Civil) exam paper leak.
Home Minister Baling Felix said that the CBI inquiry into the matter would ensure an independent, fair, impartial and expeditious investigation.
It may be noted that the North East Human Rights Organization (NEHRO) had recently demanded a CBI probe into the AE (Civil) examination paper leak issue in Arunachal Pradesh.
The exams were conducted by Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).
NEHRO criticized the Arunachal Pradesh government, alleging that it was involved in corruption.
The recent leak of AE (Civil) proves that there is corruption from the top to the bottom of the government. And there is a lot of possibility of involvement of influence on the commission to get benefits under higher officials,” said NEHRO.
Notably, Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has said that it will conduct new exams for the posts of Assistant Engineer (Civil) and the new exam date will be announced soon.
APPSC Secretary Jayanta Kar Ray said that the candidates who appeared in the preliminary examination for the posts of Assistant Engineer will be eligible to appear in the re-examination.
