Arunachal: Felix emphasizes healthy development, development of panchayats.

Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Bumming Felix said on Wednesday that the state government is committed to establishing local autonomy in the state in the true sense of the word, with the best practices of Panchayat established.
Sending a 30-member team of Panchayat members and officials on an exhibition tour to Kerala, the Minister emphasized on the healthy growth and development of Panchayats in the state for the development of rural people.
The Minister said that it was important to learn all the best practices of governance, training and panchayat at the appropriate lower level.

Felix asked the panchayat members to try to learn all the best practices of the panchayat so that it could be adopted and implemented in the state.

A week-long capacity building and training will be conducted at the Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA) with a team of team members and officials from West Siang, Leprada, Shi Yumi, Lower Siang and Siang districts.
The State Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (SIRD & PR) is organizing a training tour with the exhibition, so that the panchayat members can learn from the best performing panchayats in the country.
The second consignment, comprising delegates from Lohit, Anjaw, Longding, Tirap and Changlang , will leave for Sikkim on May 19, while the third consignment will be headed by Panchayat members from Towang, West Coming, East Coming, Papam Pare and Pakke Kessang districts and the fourth batch. Will leave for Kurung will leave Kumey, Kra Daadi, Lower Subansiri , Upper Subansiri and Kamle districts on May 23 for Gujarat and Maharashtra respectively.

The fifth batch of members from Upper Siang, East Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Dibang Valley and Namsai districts will pay an exposure-cum-training visit to Karnataka on June 20 for the program.
Felix commended SIRD & PR for the initiative and asked the panchayat members to take responsibility for making the initiative a success.

This is the first batch of the team program and will be followed by four more teams of Panchayat members.
