Arunachal: Committee urges GoAP to address APPSC cash-for-job scam demands

Itanagar: In connection with the APPSC cash-for-job scam, the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee- APPSC has appealed to the state government to accept the proposal submitted by the All Nation Students’ Union (ANSU). Resolve the 13-point charter of demand immediately.

Addressing the media at the Press Club here on Monday, one of the Tadak Nalo candidates said the committee had to come before the public again “because of the neutral attitude of the state government” in addressing their demands.

Additionally, they have sought an explanation for the “ambiguity among the public about the joint steering committee, and the carelessness of the investigation process by the SIC.”

Nalu added that the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee-APPSC is an organization comprising students and candidates of various examinations under the purview of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).

Under the guidance of ANSU and other organisations, the committee is seeking justice in the money-for-job scam.

Appreciating the CBI team for filing the chargesheet in the AE (Civil) exam case, Nalo expressed displeasure at the “slow pace of investigation in other cases related to the cash-for-job scam” and said “Further searches should be conducted to arrest the officials of the commission involved in the SIC scam.”

“So far, only Taket Jerang (officer) has been arrested by the SIC. But we strongly believe that he (Jerang) is not the only officer of the commission. Therefore, the SIC has arrested the commission officials. More research should be done to do this.

“Nevertheless, SIC is doing very well so far,” he added.

Nalu also said that the committee is yet to receive the charge sheet filed by SIC and CBI.

“The committee will wait for the copy, which will finally reveal the true meaning of the investigation conducted by the CBI and the SIC. Further, the integrity of the investigating agency should be judged only on the basis of the charge sheet. Will,” he said.

“The cash-for-job scam is unprecedented and we appeal to the public to support this cause. This fight is not limited to today’s aspirants but to build a better path for our future generations,” He added that the total arrests so far in the case are “merely 10 percent of the total.”
Meanwhile, he appealed to the public to donate to the committee to support the ongoing legal battle in court against the arrested accused.
