Arunachal BJP slams the Congress protest against the ED questioning Rahul Gandhi.
Itanagar: In Arunachal Pradesh, the BJP on Tuesday criticized the Congress for holding a ‘Satyagraha March’ here against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for alleged misuse of the Enforcement Directorate by the Centre’s NDA government.
The march came on a day when the Enforcement Directorate interrogated Gandhi for more than eight hours in a money laundering case linked to the National Herald newspaper.
The BJP has criticized the Congress for accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP of misusing the agency to tarnish the individual’s political career and the image of the great old party.
The case was filed in 2013 by Subramanian Swamy and not by any BJP worker. The PM and the BJP have nothing to do with the case, said Nabam Vivek, spokesperson of the state unit of the Saffron Party, in a press conference here. He said the party and the prime minister had nothing to do with the case as it was filed by an individual.
