Arunachal: AP Query Station organized the ‘Story of Queries’
Itanagar: Arunachal: AP Query Station organized the ‘Story of Queries’ .About 30 people from the LGBTQIAP + community and a few select allies took part in the ‘Queries’ Story’ event organized by the newly formed Rainbow Community Support Group AP Query Station here on Sunday.
The idea behind the event was to give community members the opportunity to express and share their experiences in the form of stories to help young members experience a sense of belonging and a sense of empowerment and resilience be born.
The event also included a short session on the importance of mental health, focusing primarily on community youth and raising awareness about related mental illnesses such as clinical depression and suicide.
The session was organized by a psychologist and Joint Secretary Information and Literature of Arunachal Pradesh Psychological Association (AAPPA).
Bips, a transgender activist, shared her story, reminding young minds to make education their priority.
“Academic success can help community members become more independent and self-reliant in the days to come,” he said.
Sawang Wangchha, founder of AP Choir Station, advised the participants to keep the spirit of the group alive by attending all the events held to help them develop and understand their rights and self-esteem.
The event, co-organized by Readers Realm, Itanagar, was part of the Pride Month celebrations that showcased self-confidence, dignity, equality, and gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people around the world. Is celebrated to promote the exhibition. People as a social group.
