A press release circulating on WhatsApp and reports published by several media houses said that the MNRF and PLA claimed responsibility for shooting down the army helicopter.
Addressing mediapersons at the Press Club here, ABK spokesperson Vijay Thiram said that “the claims made by the rebel groups are completely baseless and baseless” and that ABK was not aware of the unfortunate incident. Strongly condemns such misleading information.

He also appealed to the state media community not to encourage such reports without any investigation.
“The Adi community will never tolerate such anti-national activities in the state and especially in Adiabad districts. Moreover, there are no such insurgent groups in Upper Siang district,” Taram said.

He said that the tribal people have always stood by the Indian Army which has been protecting the borders of the state since ages.

The ABK spokesperson also expressed condolences on behalf of his organization to the families of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
