An NSCN-K leader shoots her MA final year girlfriend in Dimapur

Dimapur: A final year MA student died of bullet injuries in Nagaland when she was allegedly shot by her boyfriend, a self-proclaimed vice-closer (minister) of the NSCN-K (Khango), who was identified as Thingiu Khiam (36).

Nagaland’s Dimapur DCP (Crime) said on Tuesday that a 25-year-old girl, a MA history final year student of Unity College Dimapur, was injured when NSCN-K Officer shot at her in Zelingrong Colony of Dimapur, Nagaland on Monday night.
After the incident, the accused took her to a nearby private hospital where she break down to her injuries.

She belonged to the Khiamnungam Naga community of Nagaland.

The NSCN-K close has been arrested by the Nagaland Police along with his self-proclaimed boy guard Mongchon Khiam (37).
Dimapur DCP said that a modified AK rifle with two magazines and 55 live rounds of 7.65mm ammunition, a homemade .32 pistol with an empty case, two sets of walkie-talkies were recovered from his possession. And a soft top Gypsy vehicle has been seized from their possession.
Nagaland Police has registered a case and further investigation is on.
In another incident, a 25-year-old scooty rider Merithung Kithan succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday when he was riding the scooty with two riders, Dimapur Municipal Council toll tax towards Prana Bazar, the DCP said. Collided with an unknown vehicle near the area. Monday night around 10 p.m.

He was a resident of Sixth Mile under Chumukedima district of Nagaland.
He along with his other two-wheeler rider Zuchamo Patton (25) of Akok village under Chumukidema district of Nagaland sustained serious head injuries while the first motorcyclist, Mhayamo Kithan (22) of Soren Colony in Wokha sustained minor injuries in a hit and run case.

The other motorcyclist has been admitted to a hospital in Dimapur, Nagaland.

A case has been registered in this regard.
