Barpeta (Assam): Union Minister Raosaheb Patil Danve on Tuesday said that the Center is aware of the long standing demand for railheads in Barpeta town of Assam and a meeting will be convened soon on the issue.

Speaking to reporters during a visit here, Danve, Railways and Coal and Mines MoS , said the central government was aware of the demand.

A meeting will be held soon in Delhi on this demand and a Lok Sabha MP from Barpeta will be invited to attend, said Danve, when he reviewed the projects in Barpeta – seven aspiring districts of Assam. one of the.

A PIB release said that the Minister inspected the railway section between Kamakhya and Barpeta Road during his visit. He also visited a school in Barpeta and talked to the teachers and students there.

According to the release, Danve inaugurated a beneficiary’s house in Ward No. 13, Budurru Top, under Prime Minister Awas Yojana-Urban.

He also held a review meeting with Members of Parliament and MLAs for the development of Barpeta .
