Chandipur (Agartala): Amit Shah Union Home Minister on Sunday said that Tripura faces a “triple trouble” of Congress, CPI(M) and Tipra Motha in the upcoming assembly elections, and only the twin-engined BJP government can protect the State from it.
Shah also said that the Left, which betrayed the tribals in Tripura for a long time, is now presenting a tribal leader to the people as the chief minister’s post.
“If you want to get rid of this ‘triple trouble’, vote for a double-engine BJP government,” Shah told a telecast here in Unakoti district.
Jitendra Choudhary is among the CPI(M)’s top leaders from the tribal community, and is a prime contender for the post of chief minister if the Left Congress alliance comes to power in Tripura. Being watched.
The CPI(M) and Congress are jointly contesting the 60-member assembly elections, which will be held on February 16.
Shah said that the coming together of the Congress and the Left is a sign that they have conceded defeat to the BJP in the elections.
At another rally in Bashramganj in Sepahijala district, the home minister said voting out the “three woes” of the Congress, CPI(M) and Tipra Motha would pave the way for the return of jungle raj in Tripura.
Congress and Left governments in Tripura were hit by several scams. The BJP government has ensured all-round development of the state in the last five years,” said Shah.
Taking a jibe at the Congress and the Left, the Union Minister said that today there is no trace of communists in the entire world, while the Congress has met the same fate in the country.
