Agartala: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday asserted that the BJP-led government in Tripura has wiped out terrorism and brought all-round development in the northeastern state.
The Union Home Minister was addressing the flag hoisting ceremony of ‘Jana Biswas Rath Yatra’ from Dharmanagar.
Addressing a public rally here, Shah also said that the immense love and trust of the people towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi clearly shows that the BJP will form the government again in Tripura.
“We have ended terrorism through peace talks with the NLFT (National Liberation Front of Tripura), and resettled internally displaced Brus in the state,” he said.
Amit Shah said, “Tripura, once known for drug trafficking, violence and widespread anti-national activities, is now known for development, excellent infrastructure, achievements in sports, increased investment and organic farming activities. Is.”
The Home Minister also attacked the opposition Congress and CPI(M), saying that “Congress has disappeared in the country while Communists have disappeared from the world”.
In Tripura, the BJP government led by former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and his successor Dr. Manik Saha has achieved more than the CPI(M) or Congress competition could have hoped for in the last five years. The people of Tripura do not want a return to the dark days when the government was controlled by party cadres,” he said.
“PM Modi promised the people of Tripura the HIRA model, which stands for Highways, Internet, Railways and Airways. The government under the leadership of both Chief Ministers Biplab Kumar Deb and Dr. Manik Saha has successfully delivered on this promise. What has been accomplished?
The Home Minister said that the huge turnout in the rally showed that the BJP was invincible in the state. He also recalled the party’s electoral success in 2018 and asserted that the BJP would comfortably form the next government with a two-thirds majority.
BJP has always been loved by the people of Tripura. In 2018, we ran on the slogan ‘Chalo Pultai’ (Let’s change) which resonated with the voters and resulted in the party winning a majority with no presence in the state assembly.
Shah said that he now envisions a Tripura where every youth gets a job in his state, the rights of tribal communities are protected with constitutional protection and the safety of women is ensured.
Union Minister Shah flagged off the Jana Biswas Rath Yatra from Dharmanagar, which will pass through 30 constituencies of North Tripura, Dhalai, Annakoti and Khoi districts. He then reached Subrom in South Tripura to flag off another rally that will cover 30 more constituencies in the remaining four districts. The Rath Yatra will cover a distance of 1000 km across the state and culminate in Agartala on January 12. BJP National President JP Nadda will address the closing ceremony.
