New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Assam on Monday and Tuesday, during which he will visit the Indo-Bangladesh border, inaugurate the National Forensic Science University and celebrate the first anniversary of the Himanta Biswa winter government will attend.
Officials will begin their visit by visiting a Border Outpost (BOP) in Mankachar on Monday and hold talks with BSF personnel stationed at the international border, officials said.
The Home Minister will then inaugurate the BSF’s main store and workshop and launch khadi and village industry products in Tamulpur.

In the evening, he will inaugurate the census office and the SSB building in Amin Gawan, near Guwahati.

Shah will also inaugurate a super specialty hospital and National Forensic Science University in Guwahati
On Tuesday, the Home Minister will inspect the official parade of Assam Police, hold talks with officers and men of Assam Police at its headquarters and have lunch, officials said.

In the afternoon, before laying the foundation stone of the Police Commissionerate building in the city, he will attend a function in Guwahati to mark the one year anniversary of the Himanta Biswa winter government.
