Amid Manipur violence fresh firing reportedly at three places

Imphal: Incidents of fresh firing have been reported from at least three places in Manipur.

The incidents of firing in Manipur took place late on Tuesday June 20 night.

At about 11:45 pm on June 20, gunshots from automatic rifles were heard in Thangjing, Manipur.

About 15-20 gunshots were heard in Manipur’s TThangjing.
Further, firing was also reported from Geljang and Singda areas in Manipur’s Kangchup.

Around 9 pm on Tuesday night, 5 rounds of gunshots were heard in Geljang and Singda areas of Manipur.
Security forces personnel rushed to the scene of the fresh firing to prevent the violence from escalating further.
