Aizawl:6 people arrested with Heroin worth of Rs. 4.1Cr

Aizawl: The Mizoram police held onto heroin worth Rs 4.1 crore in two separate tasks in the state and captured six people regarding the seizure, an authority said on Monday.

Following up on a particular information, a police group blocked a truck stacked with void LPG chambers at Vairengte police headquarters intersection in Kolasib region close to the Assam verge on Saturday, the authority said.
On intensive checking, 625 grams of heroin worth Rs 3.4 crore was seized from the Assam-bound vehicle.

He said the stash cleanser was stuffed in 50 cases and secret in a vacant gas chamber.

The driver of the vehicle, an occupant of Sonai in Assam’s Chachar locale, has been captured regarding the seizure, he said.
In another activity, the Assam Rifles and the extraordinary opiates crew of the state police held onto 140 grams of heroin worth Rs 7 million in Zonuam area of Aizawl on Sunday.

The authority said that five people have been captured for ownership of precluded things.
