Ahead of the Lok Sabha election, All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Badruddin Ajmal took a jibe at Congress leader Rakibul Hussain, claiming that the latter has an internal understanding with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Addressing the media, AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal said, “In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections delimitation process will help us also and will also help Congress leader Rakibul Hussain.”
Further Ajmal alleged that as Rakibul Hussain is a dear friend of Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Samaguri constituency has been cleared out for him all because of their internal setting.
“Himanta Biswa Sarma has made Samaguri constituency only for muslim people which is only for his friendship with Rakibul Hussain…I have heard only 4-5 thousand votes belong to other castes apart from Muslims,” Ajmal added.
Further Ajmal claimed that in the 2024 Lok Sabha election, the AIUDF is eyeing to win at least three seats.
Speaking on the BJP government initiative of ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’, Ajmal said that both the state and the Centre have come to know about the outcome of the 2024 election, hence as a last resort they are wooing voters by bringing such schemes.
While rating the present government, the AIUDF chief said, “I will give zero to the present government… it’s a zero performance… It’s a 100 per cent failure.”
Ajmal further alleged that Himanta Biswa Sarma has a personal enmity with him hence most of the child marriage crackdown cases are been from the Dhubri district.
“More than 1000 people have been arrested from my constituency which means both of us are positive and negative but Congress thinks we have personal understandings…in entire Assam, the total number of people arrested in child marriage is lesser than the arrested people in my constituency,” said Ajmal.
“Himanta Biswa Sarma can’t stand a sight of me and I will see who will stay and who will go…whose vote is needed and whose not…even I have entered the challenge,” he further added.
