AIPSN expresses concern over the grim flood and erosion situation in Assam. The Assam Committee of the All India People’s Science Network (AIPSN) has expressed concern over the serious situation. The situation arising out of the double calamities of floods and erosion in the state accused the state and central governments of having adopted a negligent attitude toward problems.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the APISN’s state liaison committee called for immediate action to distribute adequate relief items to the flood-affected people.
The committee further demanded that immediate steps be taken to curb the spread of epidemic diseases like diarrhea and cholera in the flood-hit areas and to ensure that the state government provides clean drinking water, food items, and sanitation. Make arrangements And an adequate supply of medicines to flood victims.

The release added that special care should be taken for the women and children affected by the floods.
The organization also appealed to the people of the state to donate generously to help the flood victims to overcome the current crisis.

Interested individuals can also contribute to the coordination committee’s funds for this purpose.

According to the release, the AIPSN Assam Coordination Committee’s partner organizations will be responsible for distributing relief items using the fund to flood victims.
Assam is in the grip of catastrophic floods in which 122 people have lost their lives while millions have been affected by floods and erosion.
