Dimapur: More than Rs 36 crore has been seized by various enforcement agencies after the announcement of assembly elections in Nagaland.
The media cell of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Nagaland said in a release on Monday that from the date of announcement of Nagaland assembly elections on January 28 till February 12, the progressive seizure by various enforcement agencies and its Estimated financial value has been assessed. 36,99,56,169,882 Rs.
Among those seized were cash (Rs. 2,84,52,3650), IMFL (Rs. 4,26,40,420), drugs/narcotics (Rs. 26,36,80,380), free/other items (Rs. 3,51, 81,340 rupees) and precious metal (1,664.882 rupees).
Cash worth Rs 5 lakh and liquor worth Rs 3,53,630 were seized on February 12, the release said.
