
Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Amit Shah to visit Assam on 6th April
Guwahati: Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Assam on April 6. The visit is taking place in the midst of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
According to sources, the Home Minister is scheduled to attend public events in Assam’s Lakhimpur and Hojai.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Guwahati on April 6. This was stated by the Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday.
Addressing reporters, CM Sarma added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda are also likely to visit Assam soon.
Earlier on March 28, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held an important meeting at the BJP headquarters in Guwahati to discuss the strategy for the Lok Sabha elections.
According to sources, the meeting will also review preparations for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Assam on April 6. An important meeting was held.
Himanta Biswa Sarama also asserted that the BJP-led government has invited PM Modi for two rallies in Kokrajhar and Nalbari, however, PM’s schedule has not been confirmed.
