Agatha Sangma's as MSCRCR Head, VPP calls it dynastic politics
Shillong: The Voice of the People Party (VPP) has accused the Meghalaya state government of promoting dynastic politics and nepotism, following the appointment of Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma’s sister, Agatha Sangma, as chairperson of the Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR).
Agatha Sangma’s appointment, officially notified for a three-year term, was justified by the state government based on her experience in politics and qualifications.
However, VPP spokesperson Batskhem Myrboh criticized the decision, stating that it reveals the government’s focus on advancing the interests of a single-family and those connected to them.
