New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that he is ready to discuss the situation in Manipur in the Lok Sabha and wondered why the opposition is not ready for it.
In a brief address in the Lok Sabha, he requested the opposition leaders to allow the debate, saying that the truth on the Manipur issue must come before the nation.
As the House reconvened at 2.30 pm after three earlier adjournments on the Manipur issue, Shah said leaders of the ruling and opposition parties wanted to discuss the Manipur issue.
But when the opposition members continued their protest demanding the Prime Minister’s statement, Speaker Om Birla adjourned the proceedings for the day.
