After 76 days of violence PM Modi break silence on naked video

Imphal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday broke his silence on the violence in Manipur that has been going on for more than two months, after a video footage showing two women parading naked went viral on social media amid unrest and sparked strong condemnation and anger across the country.
“The incident in Manipur is shameful… My heart is filled with pain and anger.” Modi said this while addressing the pre-session at the Parliament House. The monsoon session began on Thursday and will continue till August 11.
Assuring the nation that the law will take its course, Modi said the guilty will not be spared.
“I assure the nation, no culprit will be spared. The law will work with all its might. What has happened to the daughters of Manipur can never be forgiven,” Modi said.
Meanwhile, the government has reportedly issued an order against Twitter and other social media platforms from re-sharing videos of two women parading naked in Manipur.
Manipur Chief Minister Anne Biren also condemned the inhuman act against two Manipur women in a Twitter post on Thursday.
“My heart goes out to the two women who were subjected to a deeply degrading and inhumane act, as shown in the harrowing video that surfaced yesterday.
Taking notice of the incident soon after the video surfaced, the Manipur police took action and made the first arrest this morning.
A full investigation is currently underway and we will ensure that all perpetrators are dealt with strongly, including considering the possibility of the death penalty.
Let go, such heinous acts have absolutely no place in our society.”
