AFSP will be removed from North East
Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said the government is trying to strengthen internal security so that the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) is not needed in the region.
AFSP will be removed from North East . Shah said that IFSP has already been withdrawn from 80 percent of the North-East areas.
Amit Shah along with National President JP Nadda also inaugurated the grand state headquarters of the party.
“Extremely happy to share that @BJP4Assam workers are getting this state-of-the-art party office in Guwahati named after Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee,” Shah mentioned.
Talking about the flood situation in the state, Amit Shah addressed a rally and said that give us another five years, floods in Assam will become history.
Attacking the grand old party, Amit Shah said, “Congress has made this beautiful Northeast a land of violence, anarchy and strikes.
PM Modi has brought it back to the path of peace and development.”
After facing innumerable hardships, BJP workers through their sacrifice and hard work sowed the growth of BJP in North East.
He said that today that seed has become a big tree under the leadership of PM Modi.
Reiterating PM @narendramodi’s commitment to a drug-free India, Shah added that he will chair a meeting with CMs and DGs of all North-Eastern states today to review issues related to drug trafficking.
