New Delhi: The Vishva Hindu Parishad has claimed that a 16-year-old activist of Bajrang Dal in Assam’s Karimganj district was recently killed by ‘Freedom-fighters’.
Sambhu Koiri was killed on January 7 in Lowairpua area, about 50 km from Karimganj city, under Bazaricheera police station. Koiri was returning to Karimganj district after attending a three-day training camp at Bajrang Dal in neighboring Hailakandi district.
The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) in a statement claimed that the killing was carried out by “Freedom-fighter” and demanded action in the matter.
“This is not an isolated incident. In the last two years, nine VHP workers have been killed and 32 attacked by Freedom-fighters.
The right-wing Hindu organization also said it would organize protests on January 17 and 18.
“Hence, on 17th and 18th January, 2023, Bajrang Dal will protest at district centers across the country and submit a memorandum to the District Magistrates…” the statement added.
