AAP party leaders are in hope to change Nagaland in polls 2023

KOHIMA: Politics has become a “money game” in Nagaland, AAP Northeast in-charge Rajesh Sharma on Sunday said his party would bring changes in the state for the welfare of its people, especially women, and youth if given a chance.

Addressing a press meet here, Sharma also said that many candidates have approached AAP for tickets, but not all of them meet the criteria set by the party.
He also said that the names of the nominees would be announced by the party, which is a new entrant in the state, on Tuesday, the last day for filing nomination papers.

Politics in Nagaland is a game of money, the current state of politics in Nagaland is totally dependent on money. AAP never encourages such politics but wants aspirants, who want to work for positive change by overcoming the politics of corruption,โ€ he said.
Sharma said the party is hopeful of gaining ground against its rivals in the state.

AAP state president Asu Keyho, who was also present at the meeting, said his party was serious about giving rise to new hope and vision for Nagaland.

“AAP wants clean politics and we are looking for candidates who are in a position to deliver,” he said.
“We have seen AAP deliver in Delhi and Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal’s development model will work well in Nagaland too.

Elections to the 60-member assembly in Nagaland will be held on February.

Counting of votes will take place on March 2.
