Aizawl: A woman from Mizoram was caught at Aizawl Airport under a DRI scanner. A 25-year-old woman, who is under the scanner of the Director of Revenue Intelligence, was arrested on Friday from Aizawl’s Lengpui Airport, police said.

Acting on a specific input, police said the accused, Sabbathhlui, a resident of Aizawl’s Bawngkawn neighborhood, was arrested on arrival at the airport from Kolkata.
She was wanted in a case registered by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in connection with the export of 3,900 poppy seeds, 4.1 lakh foreign cigarette butts and cosmetics worth Rs. Police said that Rs 1.5 crore was recently recovered from his residence.

He was handed over to the DRI in Izol for further legal action, police said.
