A high-level Congress delegation will visit Arunachal Pradesh to review the situation in China.

GUWAHATI: A high-level Congress delegation under the newly formed North East Congress Coordination Committee (NECCC) will visit Arunachal Pradesh to review the Chinese situation in the border state.

This was informed by Assam MP and NECCC convener Pradyut Borduloi.

“We want to know about the border situation after reports of infiltration but the government is silent. So, we want to see the ground situation ourselves,” said the Assam MP and NECCC convener.
He added: “Even Thapar Gau, a BJP MP from Arunachal Pradesh, raised the issue of infiltration in Parliament. According to him, the Chinese entered three districts of the border state.

“I myself tried three times to get an answer from the government on the alleged infiltration. So did other members of the opposition. But my queries were rejected. The government has refused to give any status. Govt. Why is there silence? That is why we have decided to visit the border areas to check reports of infiltration,” said the Assam MP.
