Imphal: The government has decided to build super-specialty healthcare facilities and infrastructure in four hill districts of Senapati, Ukhrul, Tamenglong and Chandel as soon as possible so that patients from remote villages do not have to travel to Imphal or other areas. Cities for treatment, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said on Thursday.
CM Singh spoke as the chief guest at the inauguration of Tekru-Nge festival at Jessami village in Ukhrul district. The festival, celebrated under the theme “Walking through the diversity and richness of Jessami”, will continue till January 21.
The Chief Minister said that despite the lack of specialist doctors in the hilly districts, diseases requiring specialist doctors are treated through Tele-ICU in the hospitals of the hilly districts.
Referring to the shortage of doctors in the state, the chief minister said, “We are also trying to increase the number of super-specialist doctors.”

CM Singh also highlighted the developmental changes in the state and said that it was possible with the support and cooperation of the people. He further said that the state has progressed peacefully.
Highlighting the development of the Heritage Park at Makhel, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of brotherly ties between communities and spoke about the unity of the people in the state. He urged everyone to stop distorting history and said that today history has repeated itself and the people have united once again.

Reiterating that the main point of launching the ‘Go to Hills’ and ‘Go to Village’ schemes was to identify the needs of the villages in the interior of the state, Singh said that the launch of these schemes in the previous period After, the government was able to identify the lack of infrastructure including roads, schools, offices and health facilities in the interior.
CM Biren Singh also said that unfortunately in the last term, the government did not get much time to work for the people as the Covid pandemic spoiled almost two and a half years out of the five years.
Fortunately, during this short period in the last term, with the guidance of the Prime Minister, who assured the Department of Minority and Other Backward Classes budgetary support, the Department has released about Rs.1200 crore in projects in the hill districts. The investment was made, the Chief Minister said. Highlighted the opening of Model Residential School, LM Block, Ukhrul District and Women’s Market in Hill Districts. He further said that similar model residential schools are being constructed at seven locations, Sadbhavana Mandaps, Women’s Markets, Oxygen Plants, Transit Accommodation etc. are being constructed in hilly districts.
As part of the celebrations, CM Biren also dedicated to the public the Model Residential School, LM Block, Ukhrul and Cave Tourism Project at Khangkhui Cave and inaugurated the exhibition of cultural and WWII related items.

He also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked all the Chief Ministers to thank them for the support and cooperation of the people and express that it is because of the people’s support that India is where it is today. Is.
He asked the Deputy Commissioner to properly use the infrastructure inaugurated today so that people can benefit from the new infrastructure.
The Chief Minister also assured the construction of office buildings for Additional SPs and ADCs at the earliest and said that he would review the memorandums submitted by the people to facilitate financial transactions. It also includes activation of SBI branch.

He also asked the villagers to submit a report through the DC with proper geo-tagging and mapping for the development of a wildlife sanctuary in a nearby forest area which is home to various fauna including non-nagin birds.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ministers Khashim Vashum, H Dingo Singh, MLA Thangjam Arun Kumar and others.

A border village, Jessami is located in the extreme north of Manipur and borders the Phek district of Nagaland.
