DIPHU: Heroin worth over Rs 3 crore was seized and three people captured in two separate activities in Assam’s Karbi Anglong area on Wednesday, police said.
Following up on a hint, 1.36 kg heroin worth over Rs 1 crore was seized from two people in Police Point 1 region, who were subsequently captured, he said.
The two captured men had brought the medication via train from Rajasthan, and were going to hand it over to a man here when they were grabbed, police said.
In another activity, a vehicle was blocked close to Laharijan Police Point in Bokajan region of the locale and 304 grams of narcotics was recuperated. The heroin, worth over Rs 2 crore, was stuffed in 25 platforms, police said.
He said that one individual has been captured.
