221 people detained, 3 bunkers dismantled in violence-hit Manipur

Imphal: In ongoing state-wide search operations, the Manipur Police on November 26 dismantled bunkers and area encroachment by security forces in border and vulnerable areas of the state.
The search operations were conducted in Kakching, Bishnupur, Tamenglong, Jiribam, Imphal West, Thoubal, Tengnoupal districts of the state.
Additionally, a raid was conducted at Phaitol village under Tamenglong district and three bunkers were destroyed.
A total of 137 checkpoints were set up in various districts of Manipur. Additionally, the Manipur police have detained 221 people in both the hills and valleys in connection with violations in various districts of the state.
