2 held with fake currency notes worth of 25.2 lakh from Kolasib

Aizawl: Mizoram police captured fake Indian currency notes worth Rs 25.2 lakh from two persons in Kolasib district, an officer said on Wednesday.

Acting on specific information, a police team arrested two persons identified as Laltanpui (42), a resident of Vairengte and Lallungmuana (40) of N Vanlaiphai village in Serchhip district. The arrests were made on Tuesday at Vairengte in Kolasib district near the Assam border.
According to official reports, the captured fake currency notes were of Rs 2,000 (1,007 notes) and Rs 500 (1,012 notes).

Mizoram Police said further investigation is on.
