SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has reiterated that his government is committed to improving the quality of education in the state.

“So clearly by the government, the importance given to education can be gauged from the amount of budget that we spend on education,” the Meghalaya chief minister said.
He also said that the Meghalaya government is “finding the best possible way” to uplift higher education in rural areas through various interventions, either by creating new infrastructure or by increasing the capacity of higher education institutions. To handle the growing number of students.
