𝗡𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁: 𝗡𝗛𝗠 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆

The state witnessed a surge of protests as National Health Mission (NHM) workers in Nalbari staged a massive dharna demanding equal status and pay parity with other state government employees.

Hundreds of NHM workers joined the demonstration, raising slogans such as “Our demand is justified,” “Accept our demands,” “Equal pay for equal work,” and “Provide pay scale.” The spirited chants turned the Nalbari protest site into a hub of growing discontent.

The workers, who have launched a three-day agitation, alleged that despite repeated appeals and long-standing demands, the government has failed to address their grievances. They asserted that they are compelled to take to the streets due to continued neglect by the authorities.

Warning of intensified action, the protestors declared that unless the government provides a written assurance in the coming days, they will resort to more aggressive forms of protest.
