𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐊𝐘𝐊𝐋 (𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀) 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐧 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭; 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐥

Three Freedom Fighters belonging to the proscribed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (SOREPA) were arrested from Manipur’s Imphal West district.

The arrested cadres were identified as Keithelakpam Telheiba Mangang (23), Konthoujam Gooddy Meitei (23) and Laishram Ichan Devi alias Sangita (30). According to police, they were allegedly involved in extortion activities across the Imphal Valley districts, recruitment of new cadres, and providing logistical support for various unlawful activities. The arrests were carried out on Tuesday from separate locations.

Meanwhile, in a separate operation, security forces destroyed illicit poppy cultivation spread over about 65 acres in the Govok hill range of Chandel district as part of ongoing anti-narcotics operations.
